Andrew Whale Bermuda’s first National AP Scholar; pre-med student
As a first-year Life Sciences student at Queen’s University,
Ontario, Andrew knows all about new challenges: his first semester brought new surroundings, new friends, living alone — and taking university courses. Thanks to his AP studies in the SGY Programme, the latter has proven a smooth transition. “I’m accustomed to the level at which courses are taught,” he says, “and since most topics in the first year are review, I can concentrate on adjusting to university life itself. SGY and the AP system provided me with challenging, yet rewarding courses that were extremely successful in preparing me for university.”
