How to apply to SGY

If you feel that the Saltus Graduate Years programme can help you with your educational or career goals you may wish to take a closer look at the school - and we will welcome the chance to speak with you!

Applying is easy; use the online SGY Application Form and either submit it digitally or bring it in person. Alternatively, you can request an application form via email from admissions@saltus.bm.

Before you apply, you may wish to consult with the Head of SGY about your particular goals and interests, to decide the right subjects to pursue. An initial conversation before you complete your Application Form is certainly in order and you may make an arrangement to visit our SGY facility, along with your parents, either before or after you have applied for admission.

We recommend that you begin thinking about SGY while you are in high school. Students at Saltus Grammar School will already know something about SGY but we at Saltus certainly welcome students from other Bermudian schools as well. In fact, over the past few years, we have been happy to include in our SGY classes students from Bermuda High School, Warwick Academy and Berkeley Institute - and they have done well as members of our programme.

The admissions cycle officially begins early in the academic year when Saltus provides SGY information by hosting its public Open House evening.

The SGY Open House is an ideal time for parents and prospective students to visit the school and learn first-hand about SGY. You will be able to meet the teachers, tour the classrooms and the special SGY centre and have an introduction to some of the current SGY students. Perhaps they will be the most important ingredient in your decision to join the programme - we are very proud of our SGY students and feel they are the best recruiters for the school!

Your Application Form should certainly be filed with us by no later than February 1 deadline, along with recommendations and transcripts. The school will then determine who will be offered admission and promises to contact you and your parents as quickly as possible so that you can complete the planning for your exciting and interesting SGY experience.
