1. How often will I be contacted by the Saltus Annual Fund?

Alumni, parents and friends are usually contacted once a year with possible follow-up each year through the mail. In some cases, you may receive a call through a 'phone-a-thon' seeking support for the Annual Fund.

2. If I contribute early in the year, will I still receive other mailings?

Yes, you will. The other mailings are sent for two reasons: first, many people like to make more than one gift to the school in a given year; and second, the mailings all contain important and interesting Saltus related information.

3. What are matching gifts?

Matching Gifts are company-donated contributions that match the contributions made by employees, sometimes on a one-to-one, two-to-one, or even a three-to-one basis. This program enables some donors to increase the impact of their contributions to Saltus.

If a company participates in this program, it means they are willing to donate a gift to Saltus that matches, or equals, an employee's personal contribution without any additional obligation from the individual donor.

4. Can I make an Estate gift to the Annual Fund?

Saltus welcomes and encourages all gifts. We would be pleased to meet with you and your Estate advisors to determine the most efficient way to handle this type of gift. Contact Andrew Burnett-Herkes, Director of Advancement at aburnett-herkes@saltus.bm for more information on Estate Giving.

5. Are there any recognition societies that highlight particular levels of contributing?

Saltus has ten recognition societies that welcome your support of the School. They are: -

• Samuel Saltus Association - Honouring those who make an annual contribution of $15,000 or more.

• The Founder's Club - Honouring those who make an annual unrestricted contribution of $10,000 or more.

• Trustee’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual unrestricted gift of $5,000 or more.

• Headmaster’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual gift of $2,500 or more.

• Benefactor’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual gift of $1,500 or more.

• Booster’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual gift of $1,000 or more.

• Supporter’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual gift of $500 or more.

• Contributor’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual gift of $250 or more.

• Donor’s Club - Honouring those who make an annual gift of $100 or more.

• Friends of Saltus - Honouring those who make an annual gift up to $99.

6. Can I designate my gift to a particular area of interest within the School?

Your gift may be unrestricted or designated to the Secondary Department, Upper Primary, or Cavendish Lower Primary for any projects that may be considered in those areas of the School.

7. What are the deadlines for making an Annual Appeal Gift?

Saltus welcomes your gifts any time of year. However, because our financial year ends June 30, gifts received after June 30 are processed in the next financial year.

8. If I want to give to the Capital Campaign, who do I contact?

You may contact the Director of Advancement aburnett-herkes@saltus.bm for any information you may need about the Capital Campaign for the new building.
