Bursaries

Saltus is committed to providing an education of the highest quality for all students and to fostering and encouraging what is best in the individual. The School welcomes applicants regardless of sex, race, religious preference or national origin. In order to maintain the diversity of our student body and to make Saltus accessible to young people of all socio- economic backgrounds, a strong bursary programme, administered by the Deputy Headmaster of the School, is maintained through annual giving, income from certain endowed funds, and other gifts from friends of the School. These bursaries fall into two. categories. Scholarships -- based primarily upon merit although, in specific instances, reflecting need as well -- are awarded to qualified students. Certain Scholarships, classified as "Honorary Scholarships", carry no financial reward, but the student's achievement is recognized by the placement of his/her name on an Honours Board located in the Secondary Department. Financial Aid -- based upon genuine need as indicated on the Financial Aid Statement, but awarded entirely at the discretion of the School -- is available to those at all year levels who might otherwise not be able to enjoy the benefits of a Saltus education.
