Lower Primary 125th Assembly

Lower Primary Department students were treated to a very special assembly in celebration of the School’s 125th anniversary.  To the students’ delight, “Mrs. Bertha Outerbridge” (ably portrayed by Mrs. Debra McBeath, Foundation Year Classroom Assistant) who was the first head of Cavendish Hall School in 1916 (before it became part of Saltus) arrived via the Saltus Time Machine. As she would have done all those years ago, “Mrs. Outerbridge” inspected the children’s hands and teeth and, if their hands were dirty, they were told to wash them in a bucket of cold water.  Our youngest students also learned about our current Headmaster and about the next Head, and why the numbers 1888, 2013 and 125 are important to Saltus.
