Butterfield & Vallis 2.7KM & 5KM

The Butterfield and Vallis races took place on Sunday, 27th January 2019 in overcast and humid conditions.

Saltus had 101 students entered for the different distances. Lower primary did a 1 km race, upper primary and middle schools did a 2.7 km run and the senior students ran 5km.

The Saltus Team won overall participation in each of the three divisions:

In the primary girls division Avani Patton was Saltus’ highest finisher placing 10th.

Tyler Coleman placed 3rd in the primary school boys 2.7 km race. Other top 10 finishers were Ramsay Soutter 5th, Tucker Curtis 7th, Max Parry 8th and Thomas Hyland 9th.

In middle school, Simas Babekas was the first Saltus runner home finishing in 6th spot. Jack Dallas was 7th and Bakari Furbert 9th.

In the senior school boys’ division Tommy Marshall finished 4th, Sancho Smith 5th, Alex Southern 7th and Ben Osset 10th. IN the girls division Selah Tuzo was 4th, Emily Cabral 6th, Jade Johnston 7th and Massassi Maxwell-Smith was 8th.

We also had 4 teachers competing. Mrs. Lewter, Mr. Figureido, Mr. Nusum and Mr. Lewis!
