Admissions Process

The Saltus Admissions Committee is responsible for reviewing the applications and for making all admissions decisions. Saltus offers admission on a rolling basis. If the candidate is applying for a year group that is already full, they will be placed in a ‘wait pool’.

Admission to Saltus is based on many factors which vary depending on which level you intend to enter the school community. Saltus may take into consideration diversity and gender balance; children of alumni; and siblings of current students in addition to the criteria outlined below.

  • Foundation - Year 1

    Developmental readiness
    The school’s assessment of the candidate’s character.
    Availability of places in the year to which the candidate is applying
  • Year 2 - SGY 1

    The candidate’s performance on our entrance test and/or standardized test.
    The school’s assessment of past academic records and references.
    The school’s assessment of the candidate’s character.
    Availability of places in the year to which the candidate is applying.
Any offer made prior to an interview will be considered a 'conditional acceptance'.

Enrolment Fee: After an offer is made, an enrolment fee of $1,000 is payable to secure a place at the school. Note that this is not applied to tuition and is non-refundable.
