On Thursday 29th November the year 10 IGCSE Travel and Tourism class took a trip to the Southampton Princess. The purpose of the visit was to meet with Mr GREG MESZOLY who is REGIONAL DIRECTOR, LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT to find out about all aspects of hospitality when running a large hotel. Saltus students were able to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions about things such as customer care, tourism in Bermuda, marketing and dealing with customers. The students were also able to tour some of the working areas of the hotel, see the range of activities and find out about the many roles of employees in the hotel. This was an extremely enjoyable and informative visit and the students now have a lot of real world information and evidence to use as examples for their IGCSE course.
