Visual Arts

The development of student’s artistic skills begins the moment they enter the Foundation Programme at Saltus. Early learning focuses on the development of creativity and imagination via exploring the visual, tactile and sensory qualities of materials and processes. Throughout their learning, students are introduced to works by renowned artists to help them gain an appreciation of the various art forms.

The Fine Arts curriculum is designed to allow students to build on their skills and improve their control of materials, tools and techniques as they progress. Middle and Senior School years include modules on Colour and Impressionism, Landscapes, Bermuda Architecture, Single-point Perspective, Self-portrait, Liquid world/Byroglyphics, Photography, and Stop MotionAnimation.

Saltus offers serious art students GSCE studies in Art as well as AP Studio Art, providing guidance in portfolio preparation and university entry requirements.
