  Gil Tucker 

  Bio

  Rodwyn Gil Tucker began his Saltus education in 1966 and graduated from Saltus in 1971. He was the first Black Bermudian Head Boy at Saltus. Gil earned his B. Sc. in Accounting & Marketing from Boston College. Gil joined the Saltus Board of Trustees in 1997 and was appointed Chair in 2011.  He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the District of Columbia state board of accountancy.
  
  

  Gil recently retired after having more than 35 years' experience with Ernst & Young, 19 as a Partner. Ernst & Young is a global leader in assurance, tax and advisory services. Gil became Country Managing Partner in 2007 and he led the firm's efforts in Bermuda. Gil is actively involved in the local community and he serves on various government advisory boards. Most recently, he had acted as co-chair on the Steering Committee of Bermuda First, a non-partisan economic group examining the sustainability and strength of the country's economy in light of current and forecast global economic conditions.
  
  

  He has also served on a number of local committees, including the Bermuda International Business Forum and the Chamber of Commerce. He is a past President of the Bermuda Hamilton Rotary Club and past Chairman of the Bermuda Career Centre. Gil was also a member of Saltus' Capital Campaign Steering Committee for the, Francis "Goose" Gosling Centre, building project and was the Head of the Finance Committee.
  
  Gil and his wife Beverly have two children, Alaina and Rodwyn. He has a passion for cooking and especially enjoys passing on his recipes to his children. He boasts a mean Bermuda Cassava Pie!

  Alexander Green 

  Bio

  Alexander Green started his education at Saltus and was at the school until 1989 when he moved to Switzerland. After High school he went to Brown University and earned a BA in Anthropology and Economics.
  
  Alexander is a Director of Berco which is a privately held family company which holds commercial properties in Bermuda and owns the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club. He is also a Director of Greenaap which helps manage a global portfolio of property, equities, bonds and private equity investments.
  
  

  Alexander and his wife have two children who attend Saltus. He enjoys reading, traveling and collecting art in his free time.

  Alison Swan 

  Bio

  Alison Swan is a director at the Swan Group, a consortium of privately held family real estate companies specializing in design build development of commercial properties that manages its own portfolio of office buildings. Previously, she was a screenwriter in Los Angeles. Her credits include “Mixing Nia” and “Nothing Like The Holidays”. In addition, Alison has fundraised for various art, cultural, environmental and political campaigns.
  
  Alison has two sons and a daughter. Alison graduated from Bates College with a BA in European Art and Politics in 1988 and received her MFA in Filmmaking from New York University in 1993 and Masters In Real Estate Development in 2015 from University of Southern California.

  Christopher Coleman 

  Bio

  
  

  Christopher S. Coleman was the Chief Financial Officer of Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. until its acquisition of Sirius International Insurance Group in February 2021 to form SiriusPoint Ltd. and had served in that position since November 2014. Previously, Chris held other senior financial positions within various firms in the Bermuda insurance industry.  Chris started his career with Arthur Andersen in 1995 working in the Hartford, CT office before relocating to Bermuda in 2001. Chris graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Professional Accountant as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.

  Chris is also a board member for the Atlantic Conservation Partnership.  He and wife Candice have two children, both of which attend Saltus Grammar School.  He also enjoys boating with family and friends and playing hockey.

  Dominic Powell 

  Bio

  Dominic Powell is a Chartered Financial Analyst and graduate of Babson College, Wellesley, MA, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He is Co-Founder and currently President of Granaway Wealth Management Limited which is a boutique investment management company managing portfolios on behalf of families, trusts and companies. Dominic has a wealth of experience in the financial sector including: Portfolio Manager in Group Private Banking at HSBC Bank of Bermuda, Analyst with the Outside Trader Investment Programme for Trout Trading/Tewksbury Capital Management Limited, Manager of the Investment Department for Schroders (Bermuda) Limited, and a Paraplanner in the Financial Planning Department for First Bermuda Securities. He and wife Tori have two sons and a daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, boating and skiing.

  Douglas Mello 

  Bio

  Douglas is the Managing Director of Bacardi International Limited. He also serves as Vice President & Corporate Secretary – Shareholder Relations for Bacardi Limited. He has more than 20 years of corporate governance experience. As Managing Director, Douglas is responsible for the Bermuda office and the Bermuda Market of the global spirits company's world headquarters. Douglas leads the HR, Corporate Affairs, Advocacy, Building/Office Administration teams and serves as Chair of the Bermuda office Senior Management Team. As the Vice President Corporate Secretary, Douglas is responsible for the global governance framework of Bacardi Limited, its global network of subsidiaries, and the governance aspects of Bacardi’s Bermuda based trading structure. In overseeing the governance of the Bermuda based trading structure, Douglas advises Bacardi's Global Leadership Team and serves as Secretary to all of their meetings. Douglas also leads the privately-held company’s shareholder relations function. Prior to joining family-owned Bacardi in 2006, Douglas served as Company Secretary/Manager & Deputy Compliance Officer for Schroders (Bermuda) Limited. Douglas currently sits on the Board of Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC), and Saltus Grammar School and as an experienced director, has sat on boards of hedge funds, investment management companies and holding companies. He has also served in various capacities on not-for-profit boards.

   

  Douglas is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, a Professional Administrator certified by the ICSA Canada, and a former Chairman of the ICSA Bermuda Branch.

   

  He received his BA from Mount Allison University and an Honors Diploma in Business and Computer Applications from CompuCollege School of Business. Douglas also successfully obtained an Executive Leadership Program degree from Harvard Business School.

  Kelly Francis 

  Bio

  Kelly Francis brings more than 25 years’ experience to the human resource and organizational change management industry. In November 2000, she launched Performance Solutions Limited, a full service human resource and immigration management consulting firm.
  
  Kelly attributes her client’s satisfaction and her subsequent success to her straightforward business philosophy, "When you believe your human resources are as important and manageable as your processes and technology - and act on that belief - you have the greatest chance of achieving business success."
  
  

  Before launching Performance Solutions, Kelly honed her skills at various companies both locally and in the US. Previously holding the position of Manager, People AdvantEDGE at Ernst & Young, where she was responsible for the launch and management of their human resource consulting practice. Before returning to Bermuda in 1994, Kelly worked at IBM as an internal consultant, serving the needs of various IBM divisions seeking to better understand and manage their human resources. Kelly also spent several years, after completing her Masters degree, as an external consultant with an organizational change management firm where she worked with well-known clients Johnson & Johnson and NY Telephone, along with a host of smaller companies.
  
  

  Kelly received her Masters of Science in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, and earned her Bachelor of Arts at Boston College. She is a member of the Society of the Human Resource Management (SHRM); the American Management Association (AMA) and World at Work. In the community, Kelly is a Trustee of Saltus Grammar School, an Employment Tribunal member and Member of the Bank of Bermuda Foundation Education and Scholarship Committees. She is a former member of Masterworks Museum of Bermudian Art, Past President of the Bermuda Human Resource Association; Past President of the Sunshine League and a former Board of Education, Bermuda Hospitals Board and Red Cross Member.

  Robert Cooney 

  Bio

  Robert J. (Bob) Cooney, is the Executive Director of Auréo Partners Ltd. Formerly, Bob has held several high-level positions in the insurance/reinsurance sector including: Managing Director of Capital Markets for AON Re Global; Chairman, President & CEO of Max Capital Ltd. (now Alterra Capital); Managing Director/Owner of Yenooc Ltd.; President & CEO of XL Insurance Ltd.; President & CEO of Trenwick Services Bermuda Ltd.; Partner of Wypich Illsley; Underwriter at General Reinsurance Ltd.
  
  Bob holds a MBA in Finance from Queen's University, and a BS in Geology from Mt. Allison University. He serves on the Boards of Auto Solutions Limited, Bernina Re, Dublin City University Educational Trust, LOM Financial Services Ltd. and Saltus Board of Trustees. Bob’s interests include spending time with family, sports, travel and reading.

  Sacha Simmons 

  Bio

  Sacha Simmons was born in Bermuda and attended Warwick Academy from Kindergarten through to university entrance. She attended McGill University gaining a Teaching Degree B.Ed. (P.E.) in 1965. Sacha taught at Warwick Academy and then Strawberry Hill Nursery School until 1980 when she changed her profession to accounting. Sacha is now fully retired.
  
  

  Sacha was appointed to Saltus Board of Trustees in 1995 and serves on its Building Committee.
  
  

  She is currently active as a member and Treasurer of the IOD Sailing Class. She is also Treasurer for a number of small companies.
  
  

  Sacha is married to Eugene "Penny" Simmons (Saltus '53). They have three sons who all graduated from Saltus, and are now married with children of their own, two of whom attend Saltus.

  Vanessa Hardy Pickering 

  Bio

  Vanessa Hardy Pickering is the Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Hamilton Re. She is one of the original management team of Hamilton Re’s operations in Bermuda and was promoted from Group Controller of Hamilton Insurance Group (Hamilton) to Chief Financial Officer of Hamilton Re in September 2015. She has over 20 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry.
  
  Prior to joining Hamilton, Vanessa was employed at Ariel Re for seven years, holding increasingly senior positions, the last being Senior Vice President, Controller. She joined Ariel Re from Rosemont Reinsurance where she was Assistant Financial Controller. From 1999 to 2003, Vanessa was employed in Ernst & Young’s Bermuda office.
  Vanessa, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Canada. She holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.
  
  Vanessa is a current Board member of the Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC), and a former Board member and Treasurer of the National Dance Foundation of Bermuda. She became a member of the Saltus Finance Committee in 2017.
  
  Vanessa and her husband, Mark, have two boys, both whom attend Saltus. She is also a proud Saltus alumna and was one of the first girls joining the school in 1991 when it became fully co-educational.

  Tammy Richardson-Augustus 

  Bio

  Tammy L Richardson-Augustus JP is a partner at Appleby (a leading global law firm with offices in 10 countries) and member of Appleby Women’s Legal Network and DE&I Committee.
  
  

  Tammy joined Appleby in 1998 and has worked in the Bermuda, BVI and Hong Kong offices of the firm and enjoyed time as a stagiaire at Linklaters in London.
  
  

  Tammy maintains a diversified business transactions practice, with emphasis on M&A, joint ventures, capital markets, secured and unsecured lending transactions and general corporate governance matters.  She has a remarkable breadth of experience working with clients in a wide range of industries, including in banking, energy, oil and gas, and maritime shipping.
  
  

  Tammy has been awarded many professional accolades throughout her career including being ranked in IFLR1000, Chambers & Global and Legal 500.  As one market commentator reported “She has great commercial sensibility, sound judgement, a strong pedigree and unparalleled relationships with industry regulators…”.
  
  

  Tammy brings a unique lens to the Saltus Board of Directors having attended school locally at West Pembroke, Warwick Academy and Saltus Grammar School (PGY Class 1988).  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (cum laude) in accounting and economics from Saint Mary’s University and a Law Degree (LLB (Hons) from the University of Bristol.   As a life learner, Tammy also completed all four parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accountancy Examination (CPA) with distinction, attained a UEFA Equivalent D License with the Bermuda Football Coaches Association and recently became the first Bermuda facilitator for One Love Foundation (a US non-profit and national leader in educating young people ages 11+ about relationship health).
  
  

  Tammy is a non-executive director on the corporate boards of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited and The Polaris Group of Companies, a member of the Bermuda Bar Association and a justice of the peace. 
  
  

  Tammy believes deeply in corporate social responsibility.  This is evidenced by her service on the statutory board of the Bermuda Deposit Insurance Corporation and Bermuda Monetary Authority.  Further, she is currently a director on the following registered charities: WISTA Bermuda (founding member and legal counsel), AXA End-to-End (director responsible for volunteers), BermudaFirst (deputy chairperson), Transitional Community Services and WeSpeak (Bermuda) Limited.
  
  

  Tammy has two delightful children who both attend Saltus Grammar School and is keen to apply her voice and talents to ensure the success of Saltus for generations to come.

  Jonathan Reiss 

  Bio

  Jonathan Reiss joined Strategic Risk Solutions in 2020 as a Managing Director and Board member. Previously he was part of the founding management team at Hamilton Insurance Group where he served as President, Strategic Partnerships as well as Group Chief Financial Officer.
  
  

  Before Hamilton, Jonathan was the Leader of EY’s Insurance practice in Bermuda. He had been with EY, in Bermuda and New York, for 19 years and had been a Partner for 12 years.
  
  

  Jonathan earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1995 and earned a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1998. He also practiced for many years as a Chartered Accountant and is a past member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda. Jonathan is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
  
  

  Jonathan rejoined the Saltus Board of Trustees in September 2020 having previously served on the Saltus Board and as Chair of the Finance Committee from 2012-2017.
  
  

  Jonathan is a member, since 2010, of the Board of Trustees of the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS).

  Kevin Dallas 

  Bio

  Kevin Dallas has been Butterfield’s Group Head of Marketing & Communications since October 2020. Mr. Dallas was Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Tourism Authority from 2017 to 2020, overseeing the strategy, operations, and financial management of Bermuda’s quango that focuses on delivering economic growth through tourism. He was also previously Chief Product and Marketing Officer of Worldpay plc (2013 to 2016) and spent 13 years at Monitor Group LLP and Bain & Company Inc., as a Partner, in London and Johannesburg. 
  
  

  Mr. Dallas is a graduate of Brown University and Saltus, where he was Head Boy and a member of the ’last’ PGY class in 1996.  His niece, brother, sister-in-law, father and grandfather all attended Saltus, and he has two nephews currently in the Senior School.  He and his partner Sean live in Pembroke with their dog Charlie.

  Cortney Bernstein 

  Bio

  Cortney Bernstein is a former teacher and curriculum developer in New York City.  Prior to moving to Bermuda, she taught middle and high school Social Studies for ten years.  While in Bermuda she has volunteered at the Bermuda National Gallery developing a docent training program for children. Currently Cortney volunteers as a teacher at the Jewish Community of Bermuda and holds a position on its board. 

  Cortney holds a BS in Social Sciences from the State University of New York at Oneonta, a Masters degree in Social Studies from the College of Staten Island and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Touro College. 

  Currently she enjoys being a stay-at-home mom and bringing up three children.  She also enjoys traveling, creating and studying art in her spare time.
