Robert Cooney

Robert J. (Bob) Cooney, is the Executive Director of Auréo Partners Ltd. Formerly, Bob has held several high-level positions in the insurance/reinsurance sector including: Managing Director of Capital Markets for AON Re Global; Chairman, President & CEO of Max Capital Ltd. (now Alterra Capital); Managing Director/Owner of Yenooc Ltd.; President & CEO of XL Insurance Ltd.; President & CEO of Trenwick Services Bermuda Ltd.; Partner of Wypich Illsley; Underwriter at General Reinsurance Ltd.

Bob holds a MBA in Finance from Queen's University, and a BS in Geology from Mt. Allison University. He serves on the Boards of Auto Solutions Limited, Bernina Re, Dublin City University Educational Trust, LOM Financial Services Ltd. and Saltus Board of Trustees. Bob’s interests include spending time with family, sports, travel and reading.
