The Arts play a central role in the Saltus programme. No longer a ‘nice-to-have’ add on, the arts today are critical to a well-rounded education that focuses on the real skills students will need in the future.
There is no doubt that a strong emphasis on creativity develops ‘design thinking’ skills – those which enable individuals to be truly innovative across all subject areas and disciplines. The Arts encourage independence, develop confidence and rely on collaboration. Those who possess the ability to think differently, imagine original solutions and pursue new ideas, will lead in the future.
A solid grounding in the Arts will help get them there. We believe that STEM subjects and the Arts naturally intersect and form two aspects of our programme that together, deepen learning and develop innovation.
